- Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the Penril does not have any
- kind of ati6 (like in USR modems) to show the disconnect reason. The
- Hayes command set of this modem is very limited. So I don't know what
- to do to really find out. But switching to MNP4 certainly decreased
- the number of disconnects.

- BTW, I've also found that although this modem is supposed to get
- asymmetric rates, it has never done so. I've called tons of USR
- couriers and have never gotten one asymmetric rate. Always the same,
- even when the rate changes. However, using my Courier, I often get an
- asymmetric connection to the same modems (and to other modems like
- Supra).
